Important update order statuses and shipping methods

A number of important updates were implemented in our platform. It's possible that the operation of your shop is now somewhat different. You will have to personalize some settings in the new system.
Update shipping methods
The list with shipping methods was becoming very long. We have limited this to the four most important shipping methods. You can now add personalized shipping methods yourself.
For example: shipping with insurance, refrigerated transport, GLS, FedEx, ...
This update is unrelated to the old system. This means that if you had already added special shipping methods, you will now have to add these methods again as personalized shipping methods. You can do this at Settings > Shipping costs. The system is multilingual: don't forget to add them in every language of your shop.
Update order statuses
The list with order statuses was becoming very long. We have limited this to the seven most important order statuses. You can now add personalized order statuses yourself.
For example: we have a question about your order, changed delivery date, order placed at manufacturer, ...
This update is unrelated to the old system. This means that if you had already added special order statuses, you will now have to add these statuses again as personalized order statuses. You can do this at Management > Orders. The system is multilingual: don't forget to add them in every language of your shop.
Update backup and export module
With the new backup and export module you can download all data from your shop in various file types.
A useful new feature is that you can segment the results per year, per month or per day. This way, you can quickly download reports for your administration or export your customer data.
Update automatic e-mails to your customers
When your customer asks a question via the contact form on your website, or when an order is placed, your customer receives an automatic e-mail.
The texts in these e-mails can be personalized at a new location in a more user friendly way. Automatic e-mails are also compatible with the new system for personalized order statuses: you can send an automatic e-mail for a personalized order status.
This update is unrelated to the old system. This means that if you had already added automatic e-mails, you will now have to add these e-mails again at the new location.
You can download the old e-mails with the new backup and export module.
You can personalize automatic e-mails at Settings > Modules > Automatic e-mails. You can also use new keywords to replace the last name of your customer for example. The system is multilingual: don't forget to add them in every language of your shop.
Why are these updates necessary?
Our shopping cart platform expands rapidly. We have a big core of professional merchants who are sending a lot of feature requests.
At the same time we receive a lot of new merchants. These start-ups are flooded with all the features. Because of this, some new merchants find our software too complicated.
This is why, from now on, we only show shipping methods and order statuses that are generally applicable. With this update we want to fulfill the desires of our new customers as well as the desires of our professional merchants.
